The Wizard of Oz Office Transformation

This year my partner in crime at work and I decided to go away from our usual scary décor traditions for Halloween in the office. We wanted to do something cute that everyone could enjoy, so we transformed our department into The Wizard of Oz.

The tornado was made with cardboard and black yarn. Pictures of the house, cow, and other things from the movie was added.

Cardboard, spray paint, craft paint, and fake flowers were used to create Munchkinland. We found several big boxes in the mailroom that were going to be thrown away....lucky us!  For the yellow brick road, I bought a plastic tablecloth runner from Amazon. It took many, many hours for me to draw the lines for the bricks, but it turned out great.

This is my supervisor's door that we used as the house that fell on the Wicked Witch of the East.  She was a great sport about it. I used crepe paper that I found in one of the boxes. I balled it up to give it that old rundown look. The legs were purchased from Amazon.

The fence and arrows are made from a poster board. (Shout out to my co-worker's husband, Steve, for drawing the fence for us).

The poppies for the poppy field were very fun to make although it took a few hours.

We're off to see the wizard!

Emerald City - I draped green fabric cover a privately screen. We had a little fun making another co-worker the "wizard".

The rainbow is made from streamer.
